Week # 72 -- Beach, Spud-wood Race and Sugar Mill

Hello Everybody

Well hope you all had a wonderful week and filled with blessings from the lord.

Sadly the wonderful time I have been with Elder Amiott is about to end. He he being transferred!!! 😢😢😭😭😭 It is very sad to leave him, but the awesome part is that his new companion is the one and only, Elder Hale!!! They are in the Oviedo area which is south west of here. I have been so blessed to be with Elder Amiott!! He is such a great missionary and will see a lot of success throughout his mission. His testimony is so powerful and has strengthened mine a lot.

A funny story for the week. We went to an investigators house and every time we go over she always gives a hug and a kiss on the cheek. As she went to give Elder Amiott his hug she held him a little bit longer and gave a little belly bump. It was super funny. Didn't sound as funny as it would be in person. Also this past Wednesday we got to participate in the Spudwood. Pretty much like the pinewood derby but with potatoes. Sadly, I didn't make it to the finals, however, I didn't smoke Elder Amiott though, which is a success.

Sorry for the short email.

Anyway, I'll send some pics and videos!!

I love you all!!

Week #71 -- Surprise talks, Manatees part 2, #Week6

Hello Everybody,

This week as been full of wonderful surprises. It was also pretty sad too but I'll start with the funny news. During sacrament meeting yesterday, one of the counselors gets up and announces the program. As he was saying it he then says the second speaker will be "Elder Amiott"!!!!! So apparently one of the speakers wasn't going to be able to speak so they thought it would be good to hear from Elder Amiott. I had to giggle a little cause Elder Amiott's face was priceless. It was awesome though cause he did an amazing job for being on the spot. The spirit was very strong there and we learned a lot.

Today we also got to see the Manatees again which was very fun. I'll send pics. The sad part about this week is we had to drop a lot of people that we were meeting with cause they weren't making the certain steps toward baptism. But it's ok cause they soon will be ready to accept the gospel fully in there lives. Right now it just not the right time for them.

It the last week of this transfer which is kinda the week where you give push harder to share the gospel with everyone cause you might not be staying in the area for another six weeks. Elder Amiott and I have some really exciting plans for this week. It's going to be awesome the lord will provide miracles for us to witness. I whole heartedly believe that miracles come straight from the Lord and if we are desiring to see miracles he will allow it.

I want to testify the plain and precious truths and principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love and am grateful for my savior Jesus Christ. I am here to do his will and he has been with me every step of the way. I am grateful to hold the Priesthood and be able to administer to my brother and sisters here in a Florida. I know the Book of Mormon to be true and another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. I love this gospel and desire everyone to have it. Please don't be afraid to share it with your friends and family members. I can promise all of you that as you pray sincerely to your Heavenly Father to help you in sharing the gospel he will help you. He has been helping me so much out here to declare the truth. Fear is something that Satan uses against us. Push that fear aside and go forward with faith and trust in the Lord. I love you all and hope you have a blessed week.

Week #70 -- Miracles, Exchanges, and Sunday Talk

Hello Everybody!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful week and was filled with miracles. If you can't remember then I would recommend to look for them this week cause they are there, sometimes we just need to pay more attention to them.

What a wonderful week I had and so many miracles happened it is just awesome.  To update you on everyone that we are working with. The first investigator is doing very well but has been super stressed about the moving. I'm so blessed that I have been able to meet her. She has such a big desire to follow Christ and to serve him. She will be so blessed once she enters into the waters of baptism. The second is someone that we picked up last week as a new investigator. Her Sister is being taught by the sister missionary's and with a member in the ward also talking to her about the church got her interested. She has been coming to church regularly and she is super prepared for the gospel. Third is  a young man about 23 and just an amazing guy. He dropped out of college so he could take care of his mom. He has been searching for the true church for the past 3 years and is now meeting with us. He reads the Bible and the Book of Mormon all the time. The last is guy from a referral from the Elders in DeLand and is super prepared for the gospel. He has gone through a lot of tough trials. He definitely has been able to draw toward his Savior for help. Those are the top investigators that we have right now. More to come.

Got to go on exchanges this past Saturday with the Zone Leaders. I got to go with Elder Goff to Daytona and Elder Hawkins came her to NSB with Elder Amiott. Had a very good exchange. Saw a lot of miracles. One really cool miracle was we stopped by a house of someone that was formally visiting with missionaries. That person didn't live there any more but the person who lives there we actually got to talk to him and he was telling us how he was a professional Clown for 36 years! Then someone called him and he was telling that person who we were and she then wanted to talk to us. So Elder Goff talked to her and she wanted a Book of Mormon!! What!! She literally lived just around the corner and so went over there and gave it to her. Had a awesome visit with her and committed her to baptism and she accepted!!!!

Then Saturday night I get back to NSB and this is around 10:15pm and Elder Amiott thought it would be good to tell me that bishop had asked me to give a talk the next morning in sacrament. Thanks Bud!! So I then stayed up for 45 mins longer getting my talk prepared. It was super cool how things came about with my talk. So at the beginning of the week I had made a goal to focus on the spirit in conversion, but not only in the people we are teaching, but myself as well. As I was studying that the spirit then taught me something. My studies then focused on love and how that is essential is the gospel of Jesus Christ.

President Monson says this, "Love is the very essence of the gospel, the noblest attribute of the human soul. Love is the remedy for ailing families, ill communities, and sick nations. Love is a smile, a wave, a kind comment, and a compliment. Love is sacrifice, service, and selflessness."

I totally agree with his words. If the world is to be improved, the process of love must make a change in the hearts of men. It can do so when we look beyond self to give our love to God and others, and do so with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our mind. Love is the security for which children weep, the yearning of youth, the adhesive that binds marriage, and the lubricant that prevents devastating friction in the home; it is the peace of old age, the sunlight of hope shining through death. I can promise you all as you work to increase the love in your home you will be able to increase the spirit in your home and be able to strengthen your faith and testimonies.

I love you all and are in my prayers. Have a great week!!!

Week #69 -- Wonderful Florida Allergies

Hello Everybody!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful week.

Mine wasn't the best cause I was in bed for Wednesday - Friday I had a wonderful sinus infection. Never experienced that before and let's just say it wasn't fun.

I'm all good now though which is ok. But I have to say Sunday was freak-en amazing though. We had 4 investigators at church which we didn't think we would have anyone at church. Also a less active young man, that we have been helping back into activity and prepare for a mission; he got to exercise his priesthood by blessing the sacrament. It was awesome. Then Brother Adler got called to be the ward missionary leader!!! He is going to do such an awesome job -- so blessed to have him in my life.

Sorry for the short email but love you all!!!
